About the role - Quality Engineer
Our client is a leading organisation in the manufacturing industry. With their commitment to producing high-quality products and their focus on continuous improvement, they have built a strong reputation in the market. They are now seeking a talented Quality Engineer to join their team in Peterborough.
Responsibilities
- Coordinating plant activities to meet customer needs
- Driving continuous improvement in product quality, cost-effectiveness, and delivery performance
- Ensuring compliance with the Quality Control Plan and maintaining process control parameters
- Monitoring and ensuring the quality of incoming raw materials
- Proactively resolving quality issues during production runs
- Developing strong customer and supplier relationships
- Managing customer complaints and implementing preventive measures
- Utilising Statistical Process Control (SPC) and Continuous Improvement techniques to improve quality performance
- Analysing and reporting on the costs of non-quality
- Championing Food Safety and quality improvement initiatives
What we need from you
- Degree level qualification in Quality or Industrial Engineering OR 3+ years of experience as a Quality Auditor in a manufacturing environment
- Strong understanding of food safety, hygiene, and process capability
- Knowledge of ISO 9001 Quality Management Systems
- Proficiency in using quality and continuous improvement tools and techniques
- Previous experience in problem-solving, root-cause analysis, and process capability
