What You’ll Be Doing: 

  • ‍Oversee the school kitchen, ensuring students enjoy tasty, healthy meals 
  • Manage stock, place orders, and keep the kitchen running smoothly 
  • Maintain excellent food safety and hygiene standards 
  • Lead, motivate, and support your kitchen team 
  • Create exciting menus that keep students looking forward to lunchtime 

What We’re Looking For: 

  • Experience in a similar role, preferably in a school or institutional catering environment. 
  • NVQ in Cookery or Hospitality (or equivalent) is highly desirable. 
  • ️Lead menu planning, ensuring meals meet nutritional guidelines, dietary needs, and budget constraints. 
  • Strong leadership and team management skills to inspire and develop staff. 
  • ️Expertise in food safety and hygiene regulations, maintaining the highest standards. 
  • Build and maintain supplier relationships to secure high-quality ingredients. 
  • Manage stock, finances, and staff schedules efficiently and accurately. 
  • Excellent organisational and time management skills, able to juggle multiple priorities. 
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills, fostering a positive dining environment. 
  • Support the Area Manager, ensuring smooth operation and high service standards.
