Role – Plant and Transport Co-ordinator                   

Location – Enfield, London

Contract Type - Permanent

Working Pattern – 40 hours per week (Hybrid)

Salary – £25,000

About the role 

Working as part of the Procurement department you would be required to source plant and equipment to suit the needs and demands of various projects.
 

Responsibilities

  • Completion of all on / off hires on the internal system
  • Work with internal and external stakeholders to resolve order/invoice queries
  • Book internal transport (HIAB & Grab)
  • Ensure company fleet of vehicles are inspected and maintained.
  • Inbound / outbound calling & liaising with drivers, operational teams and suppliers
  • Managing all live hire equipment (on hires – off hires). Logging all delivery, collection and waste transfer notes
  • Co-ordinating transport for movement of equipment and materials
  • Carry out any other duties appropriate to this post
     

What we need from you

  • Knowledge of equipment used in the construction sector.
  • Good administrative and organizational skills. Computer literate essential
  • Excellent communication skills, able to work alongside management, site personnel and suppliers
  • Able to deal with reactive work

  • Previous experience working with or knowledge of heavy plant, small tools and temporary welfare facilities
  • Effective communication techniques, by both telephone or email
  • Knowledge of procurement software Causeway and Microsoft Office application
