Are you a skilled professional with a deep interest in human rights, legal issues, or technology? Do you have experience of supporting trust and safety and/or content moderation operations for social media platforms? If so, our client is seeking a Market Specialist to join their team.

As a Market Specialist, you will play a crucial role in ensuring the accuracy and independence of user disputes regarding content moderation decisions. You will work closely with the Case Review Team to review and moderate user appeals, considering socio-political, cultural, and linguistic contexts. By enforcing content policies and guidelines, you will help maintain a safe and inclusive online environment.

Responsibilities:

  • Review and moderate user appeals, considering socio-political, cultural, and linguistic contexts
  • Enforce content policies and guidelines, ensuring fairness and consistency
  • Stay informed about global developments to understand contextual information that may impact enforcement
  • Provide feedback on case decision-making processes to drive continuous improvement
  • Analyse market-related case data and metrics to identify areas for improvement
  • Support quality management and training efforts, including coaching and training junior resources
  • Assist with translations as needed, leveraging your linguistic expertise

Requirements:

  • Degree educated, preferably with some specialisation or strong interest in human rights, legal issues, or technology
  • Professional experience in supporting trust and safety operations for social media platforms
  • Proficiency in English and at least one other European language (German, French, Spanish, Italian, or Dutch)
  • Expertise in the socio-political, cultural, and linguistic context of one or more EU countries
  • Strong communication skills and the ability to work both independently and collaboratively
  • A proven track record of applying policy context to deliver quality content moderation outcomes
  • An understanding of EU/regional current affairs
