Working Pattern – Office based

Salary – £70,000 - 75,000 + 15% bonus

About the role - Financial Compliance Manager

The purpose of this role is to identify and assess potential risks and develop remediation plans to manage any exposure and to implement an independent and robust control and compliance function at Shared Services to build a reliable defence to protect and safeguard compliance thresholds.

The position of the Financial Compliance Manager has been created to ensure that all Shared Service Centre departments meet the company's policies, standards and with particular emphasis on Sarbanes Oxley controls.

 

Responsibilities

  • Review SOX control evidence for completeness and compliance
  • Organise the collection and custody of control evidence for SOX audits
  • Manage SOX audits and conduct annual reviews to ensure compliance with SOX controls
  • Organise and manage the audit process with divisional internal and external audit with PWC
  • Review and standardise controls to simplify and improve the efficiency and effectiveness of the controls in the shared services
  • Maintain routine communication, feedback and reports to the SSC management team on the effectiveness of the SSC controls
  • Proactively detect ethical violations, compliance issues and implement remediation plans in accordance with the SSC management team
  • Ensure that changes to governance requirements are communicated to all those affected within shared services and amongst businesses

 

What we need from you

  • Previous experience in a Governance function, Compliance or Audit role, preferably within the Manufacturing sector
  • Exposure to Sarbanes Oxley and GAAP standards requirements
  • Recognised Degree in Finance or Business Admin or any other relevant professional degree
  • Fully qualified in CIMA/ACCA/ACMA or equivalent

 

What we would like from you

  • Previous experience with ERP systems (ideally SAP) 
  • Previous experience within a Shared Service Centre environment
  • Fluent in English - both verbal and written, another European language a plus
