About the role
To successfully deliver a nominated project by;
- Lead by example at all times
- Consistently demonstrate, promote and develop high standards of safety behaviour and culture to match
- Manage and extract the critical design aspects, raising relevant TQ’s, ensuring the design programme and list of deliverables works with the construction programme
- Achieving the programme or betterment thereof
- Achieving the commercial performance of the project or betterment thereof
- Ensuring the health, safety and wellbeing of all operatives and supply chain under your control
- Ensuring the quality delivery of the project (right first time)
- Ensuring all of your resources are utilised as best as possible
- Maintain excellent client and other stakeholder experience levels
- Maximise any end user customer experience
Responsibilities
- Responsible for ensuring that works/projects are planned, managed and delivered to the highest standards of safety, compliance, customer excellence and commercial control.
- Supervision of site and control of resources to complete the works satisfying the requirements of the design, legislative (e.g. CDM), regulatory and company/client technical standards, policies and procedures.
- Interpret and understand stat / service drawings, ensuring that they are accurate and in date.
- Undertake site inspections focusing on the safe, compliant delivery of all activities in progress and quality of work completed taking the appropriate action where necessary to address weaknesses or failings.
- Continually monitor performance and foster a culture of team working and safety.
- Ensure operatives possess the correct and current qualifications and competencies to allow them to undertake their relevant work activities.
- Ensure all required data, records, QA and SHE forms are recorded and submitted accurately and by the appropriate deadlines.
- Ensure that communications are delivered effectively so that operatives have an understanding of the contract/personal objectives, standards of service and contract performance. Deliver as appropriate toolbox talks, safety briefings and team briefs.
- Proactively work with customers to ensure an excellent customer service is provided, resolving and/or escalating enquiries and complaints in line with the standard.
- Develop and maintain relationships with the client, and all other stakeholders and our supply chain.
- Act as a role model at all times in support of the company’s vision, priorities and values.
- Carry out any other duties appropriate to this post
What we need from you
- Previous experience in utilities operational delivery in a safe and compliant manner
- Working knowledge of relevant legislation, codes of practice, safety and statutory regulations
- Ability to lead on site and drive performance against a target programme
- Good verbal and written communication skills
- Cost awareness and the desire to deliver scalable profit on your project

- CSCS Accreditation (Manager or higher)
- SMSTS
- SEATS (Environmental)
- National Water Hygiene (Blue card)
- Service Avoidance (CAT & GENNY)
- First Aid at Work
- Current UK driving License (full)
Desirable Qualifications
- ICE Member of some description
- Confined Spaces Accreditation
- Temporary Work Co-ordinator / Supervisor
- Lifting Operations Supervisor or Appointed Person
